¡Hola! I’m Mariale.
Every project where your hands are the source of production carries a unique value — it is born from passion, and from time devoted with love. That belief is the whole reason this studio exists.
Bohemia started the way most fiber studios start: with one piece, made for someone specific. A wall hanging for a room that needed warmth. A name in plaster for a nursery that was still empty. Then a friend asked for one, and then a stranger did, and at some point the kitchen table stopped being big enough.
What has not changed is the part that matters. We still make one piece at a time, and we still make it after you order it. There is no shelf of finished stock waiting to be matched to a customer. Your macramé is knotted for you, your letters are cast for you, and the cord is cut the week it ships.
That means we are slower than a factory — usually seven days on name signs, ten to fourteen on larger fiber work. It also means we can change a color three days in because you saw the preview and wanted something warmer, which a factory cannot do at any price.
Today the studio makes four things: macramé wall hangings, crochet goods, custom plaster name signs, and DIY kits for people who would rather make it themselves. We also teach — in person for groups, and online for everyone else. From our studio to homes across the U.S. and the world: thank you for supporting slow, handmade work.
